Falling in Love with Excel
Ah, Excel! I have to say that I really love Excel. It’s so incredibly versatile. I use it for everything from making up my family budget to creating travel itineraries to keeping my to do list straight to calculating my mortgage payments to charting my weight loss efforts (don’t ask).
The Excel Challenged
I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve checked out how a company is using Excel only to discover that they are not using it at all well. I’ve even seen people enter numbers in an Excel spreadsheet and then use a calculator to add them up. Ouch! I really hate seeing people waste their time.
The problem is that Excel is not particularly intuitive. Most people don’t know what they don’t know (well, that’s understandable!). How can you use a handy feature such as Goal Seek, for example, if you don’t know it exists and what it does?
